POLICE BLOTTER for the week of 3/11/16

The East Windsor Township Police Department initiated the following police reports through Wednesday, March 2, 2016. 
Officers responded to Royal Plaza at 8:23 a.m. Feb. 26 for a report of stolen construction equipment. The victim reported that someone stole a 2004 Caterpillar Skid Steer from the parking lot between Feb. 26 and Feb. 26, 2016. The piece of equipment was valued at $30,000. 
Rosibel Uzhca, 18, of East Windsor, was charged with DUI, reckless driving, failure to maintain lane and failure to exhibit driver’s license after being stopped at 1:57 a.m. Feb. 27 on Route 133.
An officer was on patrol on Route 130 in the area of Route 133 when he observed a vehicle driving erratically and conducted a motor vehicle stop. While speaking with the driver, the officer detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from within the vehicle. Ms. Uzhca was given field sobriety tests and arrested for DUI. She was later released pending court action. 
Diego Barrientos, 18, of East Windsor, was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia after being arrested at 11:21 p.m. Feb. 27 at Melvin H. Kreps Middle School.
An officer was conducting a check of the school and observed a suspicious occupied vehicle parked in the lot. Further investigation revealed that a passenger was in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Mr. Barrientos was arrested and later released pending court action. 
An officer met with a victim at 7:33 p.m. March 1 at Chestnut Willow Apartments who reported someone entered the unlocked rear sliding glass door of the apartment and stole an Xbox One gaming console. The victim valued the loss at $399. 
Michael L. Coel, 46, of Jamesburg, N.J., was charged with possession of cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to wear a seatbelt after being stopped at 1:30 p.m. March 3 on Mercer Street.
An officer was on patrol in the area of Mercer Street when he observed a vehicle with a view obstruction and conducted a motor vehicle stop. Further investigation revealed that a passenger was not wearing a seatbelt and was in possession of cocaine and drug paraphernalia. Mr. coel was arrested and later released pending court action.
