LONG BRANCH — The Long Branch Free Public Library’s adult summer reading program is in full swing this month at the Main and Elberon Branch libraries through Aug. 31.

Join book discussions and programs and earn prizes as well. Adult readers are invited to read six books this summer, complete a reading log and submit it to be entered into a prize drawing for a gift basket and local restaurant gift card. Participants may enter as often as they wish by completing and submitting the reading logs, which are available at the Circulation Desk. One winner each will be chosen from the Main and Elberon Branch libraries.

Summer programs and activities, including additional special events for children and teens, are also ongoing through August. Stop by the library for a full schedule of special summer events or visit www.longbranchlib.org.

The Long Branch Free Public Library will also welcome New York Times best-selling author Stephanie Evanovich for an author presentation at 2 p.m. Aug. 20. She will discuss her newest book, “The Total Package,” followed by a Q-and-A session and book signing. Her previous novels, “Big Girl Panties” and “The Sweet Spot” will also be available for purchase at the book signing. This program is free and open to the public. For more information, call Lisa Kelly at 732-222-3900, ext. 2350.
