Nanny’s Cardinals, a large team of walkers based in Union Beach, walked for a cure in Point Pleasant on Sunday during the annual Making Strides for Breast Cancer.
The team was named in honor of their mother and grandmother, Pauline Pasture, who loved to watched the birds in the later years of her life. Pauline raised a family of 12 and was admired by those who knew her. The team raised more than $3,300.
