Amy Grossman, 36

Amy Grossman, 36, died tragically on Thursday, March 16, 2017.
Amy grew up in West Windsor. She was an artist from an early age. She enjoyed painting, playing piano, soccer and lacrosse. While at Petty School she excelled in art and showed her works at an end of year exhibit. She went on to study Art History, earning a BA from the University of Chicago with a major in Italian Renaissance. She completed an MA from the University of Illinois in Chicago. While living in Italy for a summer, she became fluent in Italian.
Amy’s career varied from working at art galleries in Chicago to teaching Art History in high school. More recently she worked in graphic design and marketing. Throughout her life she continued to create numerous oil paintings as well as design unique jewerly.
Amy’s life was affected by a serious hearing loss due to brain tumors of the hearing nerve (acoustic neuroma). Her hearing loss never stopped her from living a full and active life.
Amy is survived by her parents, Dr. Leonard and Evelyn                                              
Grossman, a brother, Dr. Eric Joseph Grossman (Dr. Elizabeth), a grandmother, Elisabeth Joseph, an aunt, Elaine Heltman (Greg), cousins Aaron (Kristen), and Harold (Diana) Grossman, nieces and nephews, Josephine, Knox, and James Grossman.
Funeral services were held Sunday, March 19 at The Jewish
Center, 435 Nassau Street, Princeton, with burial at Fountain Lawn Memorial Park, Ewing. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to:
University of Chicago, the National Endowment for the Arts, or the Acoustic Neuroma Association.
