Lou Del Bianco portrays his grandfather, Luigi Del Bianco, and talks about his unsung contribution as chief carver on our nation’s greatest memorial, Mount Rushmore. Del Bianco uses authentic photos, timelines and primary source documents to bring his grandfather’s story to life. Now a published book authored by the younger Del Bianco, “Out of Rushmore’s Shadow” is a dramatic and touching story about legacy and the immigrant struggle.
The event, from 5-7 p.m., is free. Dorothea’s House is located at 120 John Street in Princeton. Participants are encouraged to bring refreshments to share at a post-program reception. Doors open at 4:45 p.m.
