After putting on the School’s first musical in more than 50 years with a production of “Seussical: The Musical” in early 2020, Rutgers Preparatory School is proud to announce that its talented students will be returning to the stage, performing three nights of Disney’s “The Little Mermaid” (a musical) at Brook Arts Center in Bound Brook from February 24th-26th.
Based on the animated 1989 Disney film of the same name and the classic story by Hans Christian Andersen about a mermaid who dreams of the world above the sea and gives up her voice to find true love. This fishy fable will capture your heart with its irresistible songs, including “Under the Sea,” “Kiss the Girl” and “Part of Your World,” and the production will feature students in grades 4-12 as well as a pit orchestra and stage crew comprised of Rutgers Prep students.
