Animal shelter slates Feb. 14 brunch

Join the Monmouth County SPCA (MCSPCA) at 11 a.m. Feb. 14 for its annual Valentine’s Brunch at McLoone’s Pier House, 1 Ocean Ave., Long Branch. The event will raise funds for the care of homeless animals at the shelter.

This year’s event will honor MCSPCA volunteers Peggy and Jeff Blazewicz.

“Peggy and Jeff are true humanitarians. Their compassion and dedication reaches far beyond the MCSPCA and we are so grateful for everything they do in support of animal welfare. We are thrilled to recognize their contributions and celebrate their commitment to our shelter,” said Tricia LeBaron Tilly, MCSPCA event coordinator, in a press release.

Tickets are $85 per person and include a buffet brunch, one beverage and chance and silent auctions with prizes for people and pets. A cash bar and valet parking will also be available. Seating is limited.

Tickets for the 50/50 are $10 each and can be purchased prior to or during the brunch. The winning ticket will be drawn 2 p.m. Feb. 15 at the MCSPCA Homeward Bound Adoption Center in Eatontown. The winner need not be present.
