Whether your candidate won or lost, this election has taught us an important lesson: that the loudest voices are the ones that are most heard. Let us keep this important lesson in mind as we move forward.

Use the election results to motivate yourself to remain active in the democratic process. Be vigilant, proactive and assertive. Keep up with current events. Learn the names of your local and national representatives. Keep their phone numbers and email addresses close at hand, and contact them when you have something important to say. Speak up for what is right. Speak up for what is moral. Speak up for those who are in need.

Democracy is what brought about these election results. Help ensure that democracy continues to shape our nation for the next four years and beyond.
