Three Penn State-Hazleton starters finished in double figures as the Lady Lions cruised to a 76-33 win over local rival Penn State-Schuylkill in a PSUAC women’s basketball game Jan. 20 in the Dr. Thomas Caccese Gymnasium.

Senior Alexis Daly (Wyalusing, Pennsylvania) led all scorers with 22 points and recorded her sixth double-double of the season with 11 rebounds. It was also Daly’s fourth double-double in a row. Junior Stephanie Guevara (North Brunswick) and freshman McKenzie Prutsman (Jasper, New York) each finished with 14 points, and Guevara added seven boards. Prutsman recorded six rebounds, six steals and three assists to cap an impressive night.

 

The Edison Wizards Lacrosse Club will hold registration for boys teams for grades 5 and 6 and grades 7 and 8. Players will learn to play lacrosse from experienced coaches and players. The cost of registration is $100. Players are required to supply their own equipment. Practice will be twice a week starting early March 2016. Games will be played on Friday nights and Saturdays.
