‘Hope Concert 9’ slated at Count Basie Theatre

RED BANK — Bobby Bandiera & Friends will return to the Count Basie Theatre on Dec. 23 for “Hope Concert 9,” slated this year to benefit The FoodBank of Monmouth and Ocean counties and the Latino outreach programs at Red Bank’s Two River Theater.

In addition, $10 from every ticket sold will go toward Count Basie Theatre’s arts initiative, in collaboration with Red Bank Borough Middle School, to bring the arts to children.

Tickets range from $50-$500 and go on sale to the general public on Oct. 7 at noon. For tickets, visit www.TheBASIE.org or call 732-842-9000.

Past Hope concert performers have included Jon Bon Jovi, Bruce Springsteen, Deborah Harry of Blondie, Southside Johnny, Nicole Atkins, Gary U.S. Bonds, John Cafferty, Richie “La Bamba” Rosenberg, Brian Fallon and the late Ben E. King.

Holiday Express founder Tim McLoone and his band, The Shirleys, will open the show with a set of holiday favorites.
