Lions’ Notarfrancesco wins Group III shot put

Danielle Notarfrancesco of Jackson Liberty High School’s girls’ indoor track and field team left no doubt that she would return to the NJSIAA Meet of Champions when she threw the shot put a winning 46-11 in the Group III finals Feb. 18 at the John Bennett Indoor Athletic Complex in Toms River.

The senior will return there at 10 a.m. Feb. 26 for the MOC, where she placed fourth in the shot put a year ago with a throw of 44-3.

Also from the township, Jackson Memorial High School’s boys’ 4×400 relay was sixth in the Group III meet in 3:30.91.

The top six finishers automatically advance to the MOC.
